Café Ablaze

Experience the Café Ablaze blend! Live contemporary Christian music onstage; elegantly-set tables facing the raised stage (where every seat is a good one); unlimited self-service coffee, tea, and scrumptious desserts; and helpful volunteers in black t-shirts sporting the Café Ablaze logo.

Café Ablaze is named for Resurrection's Christian outreach movement. When open in November and March, it hosts two guest music ministry acts between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., right after Resurrection's Saturday Night Worship Service, when pizza is available for $2 per slice. Tickets are $10 each and may be reserved ahead of time or purchased at the door.

Children age 12 and under are admitted free with an adult. A separate "freewill" offering is collected for the talent. Reservations are suggested; contact Lori by emailing

Resurrection Lutheran Church is located at 420 Stewart Avenue in Garden City. Enter Café Ablaze on the Emmet Place side of the church. Parking is available on side streets bordering the church or in the semi-circular parking area by the Fire House at the end of Emmet Place.

Café Ablaze Coffeehouse recently celebrated its Tenth Anniversary, hosting its largest group ever onstage. Bandleader, music director, and guitarist, Jean Sandoval, led his multi-instrumentalist funk and jazz infused Christian rock and blues band here from The New Life Church in Wallingford, CT. Preceding The Jean Sandoval Band were inspiring music from the duo of Anthony Tetro and Maureen Arasmo, who are both regulars at Samantha's Li'l Bit of Heaven Coffeehouse in East Northport.
