Expectations of Participants

Participants & Leaders will participate in Fundraisers, Service Projects, and Social/Spiritual Events

Throughout the year, Gathering participants will gather to raise money through fundraisers, serve our community in a variety of ways, and get to know one another through social & spiritual events. While we hope you participate in every event we host, you are expected to attend at least 50% of each kind of get-together in order to attend.

By participating in these events you not only help yourself, and others, get to San Antonio, but you will make get more out of the Gathering because you’ll be there with people you know well, and who know you.

Fundraisers are opportunities to raise money for the trip. If you work all the fundraisers for the full amount of time your trip will be paid for in full (minus the deposit).

Service projects are opportunities to serve our friends and neighbors in special ways. Events include the Halloween Party, Easter Egg Hunt, Nursing Home visitation etc. A complete list will be given at the beginning of the school year.

Social & Spiritual Events include Youth Nights at Church or at Nathan’s House, Sunday school or Youth Forum. We also take local trips to go bowling, paintballing, etc. A complete list will be given at the beginning of the school year.
